Bewerley Park Completion
The major redevelopment of North Yorkshire’s
much-loved Bewerley Park Outdoor Learning
Centre has reached an exciting milestone with
the completion of its new 84-bed
accommodation block. Designed by Align, the
£3.2 million building provides 14 ensuite
bedrooms, staff accommodation, breakout
areas and a drying room, all delivered with
sustainability at the forefront through solar
panels and ground-source heat pumps.
This marks the first significant step in the wider
transformation of the centre, supporting
future generations in accessing outdoor
adventure. We’re also proud to announce that
the project has now been submitted for the
RIBAJ MacEwen Award.

Milestone achieved in redevelopment
of Catterick town centre
Work on the £21 million redevelopment of Catterick Garrison
town centre has reached a major milestone with the first
steel structure now in place. Funded by the Government’s
Levelling Up Fund with match-funding from the Defence
Infrastructure Organisation, and North Yorkshire Council,
the scheme will transform the area with a new town square,
a community and enterprise building, and improved
pedestrian access. The project will deliver new retail and
commercial spaces, enhanced play areas, a skate park,
sensory zones in Coronation Park, and upgraded footpaths
and cycleways providing modern facilities and better
connections for residents and the military community. Align
is proud to contribute design expertise alongside Barton
Howe Associates, with Willmott Dixon leading construction.
Completion is expected by winter 2026.
