The Seam Digital Campus
Project
The Seam Digital Campus is a major town
centre redevelopment which hopes to
transform Barnsley. The project aims to
provide a sustainable, engaging and
digitally enabled campus that will be the
catalyst for further growth and innovation
in our local and regional economy.
Earlier this year construction on the first
phase started with us joining Barnsley
Metropolitan Brough Council and Willmott
Dixon for an official groundbreaking
ceremony. Our architects and engineers are
supporting the council with the project’s
management and design.
The first phase will redevelop the lower
seam, adding a new 4,700 sqm urban park
comprising of three separate high–quality
natural gardens. Improvements will also be
made to parking facilities. The car park will
be improved with well-lit walkways, lighting,
additional trees and upgraded CCTV.
