SUSTAINABILITY
SUPPLEMENT
FAMILIES TO BENEFIT FROM £47
MILLION RETROFIT ROLLOUT
Hundreds of families are to receive
energy-saving upgrades in their
homes as part of our decarbonisation
drive with North Yorkshire Council
that has received national praise.
During our visit, the teams at NYC and
Align demonstrated professionalism and
passion for the work they are doing in
the retrofit space.
It is clear they’re committed to
improving residents’ homes, reducing
risks of fuel poverty through lower
energy bills and paving the way towards
net zero.
Paul Hill, Director of Housing at Salix.
Earlier this year, we and the council
welcomed sustainability experts from
Salix Finance, the Government-owned
body responsible for seeing national
retrofit schemes on behalf of the
Department for Energy and Net Zero,
to North Yorkshire.
They were really impressed about how
we’re working collaboratively to make
a difference to residents’ lives.
Looking to maintain the momentum,
we’ll be working with Paul Cole and
his team to upgrade more than 1,600
more homes as part of a £47 million
investment.
